About Our Pastor...
Rev. David Brasher has served as the pastor of Perritte Memorial UMC since June of 2006. He came to us from First United Methodist Church in Henderson, Texas where he served for five years as their Associate Pastor. Prior to that he served in the Northwest Texas Annual Conference (i.e. Texas panhandle) as pastor of First United Methodist Church in Fritch, Texas for three years.
David grew up in Temple, Texas and is the youngest of four children. After graduating from high school in Temple he went onto receive a BA in Social Work from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Immediately following graduating from Texas Tech David served as an intern with the Texas Tech Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry. It was during that internship that David received confirmation on his call into full-time ordained ministry. He then went to and graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.
While David was at Texas Tech he met his wife, Kimberly. They dated while at Tech and later married in 1995 while they both were attending seminary at Asbury. In 2000, while they were in their first church Reagan, their first daughter, was born. Their second daughter, Rebekah, came along in 2003 while they were living in Henderson, Texas.

What He Likes to Do in His Spare Time: Hunt (deer and dove), read, spend time with my girls (Kimberly, Reagan and Rebekah), play computer games.
Favorite Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Matrix, Man from Snowy River, Lord the Rings trilogy, Star Wars movies.
Things You May Not Know About David: I play guitar (some), I can ride a unicycle, I accidentally hung myself once (there's a story behind that one...ask me sometime), I'm the youngest of four kids.
Greatest Blessings in David's Life: The day I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, marrying Kimberly and the birth of my daughters, Reagan and Rebekah.
